Gap where the tooth intersects with the gum
After having a tooth extraction, to replace the missing tooth dentist often suggests bridges or implants.
If a bridge is chosen to replace the missing tooth right after an extraction, occasionally caused by a gum recession there can be a small gap where the false tooth intersects with the gum. The gap will not cause any health problem however, it can be very disturbing specially if the bridge is visible when speaking or smiling. If that is the case, then the bridge can be replaced with a new one.
