Here are a few things you should take into account with your temporary dentures given after your Dental Implants Surgery;
- Temporary Denture Got Loose
After 2 to 3 weeks after your surgery, temporary dentures might get loose due to extraction areas heal and swellings settle down, hence, a simple adjustment by a local dentist might be needed. Another option is using a special glue to make them fit. - Temporary Denture Fitting Problem
When you go back to your country, you can have some sore areas in your mouth because of the temporary dentures, then you should go to a local dentist for the necessary adjustments so that the dentures do not cause any discomfort while using. - Take it slow when start wearing your Temporary Dentures
After the surgery, you need to wear your dentures for one week while you are sleeping as well, and then after one week you need to take them out while you are sleeping because otherwise implants can get damaged, and you might have candida issues on your soft tissue. - Go gentle with you food choices when use your Temporary Dentures
You need to eat soft foods (pasta, soup, boneless fish etc.) while using temporary dentures otherwise you might have bone loss around the implants which might cause the implant failure. - Temporary Dentures are not designed for long term use
After the implant surgery, if you use the dentures longer than the stated healing period, you might loose your Implants because of the improper force coming from the dentures onto the implants. - Getting used to your Temporary Dentures at first use
Using removable temporary dentures might be tricky when you try to eat something in the beginning; but then with time you will get used to them. - Protect your Temporary Denture
If you drop your dentures: they can get broken very easily because of the fragile material. - Your Temporary Denture experience can lead to better permanents
